I do like my bed made in the morning. For me at least, it takes just a few minutes, and I like to look at at least one thing that’s done during my day. I read this information before, and I thought I would share it with you in case you haven’t seen it. It has made my sometimes wait to make my bed or if I don’t get around to it at least I can feel good about not making it
This info was from here :

(pretty huh?)
The warm, damp conditions created in an occupied bed are ideal for the creatures, but they are less likely to thrive when moisture is in shorter supply.
Failing to make your bed in the morning may actually help keep you healthy, scientists believe.
Research suggests that while an unmade bed may look scruffy it is also unappealing to house dust mites thought to cause asthma and other allergies.
A Kingston University study discovered the bugs cannot survive in the warm, dry conditions found in an unmade bed.
The average bed could be home to up to 1.5 million house dust mites.
The bugs, which are less than a millimetre long, feed on scales of human skin and produce allergens which are easily inhaled during sleep.
The warm, damp conditions created in an occupied bed are ideal for the creatures, but they are less likely to thrive when moisture is in shorter supply.
So go ahead and leave your bed unmade and if you already do you just have an excuse to do so.
Have an unmade day!

Wow. Scientific proof for my boys to not make their beds. My little scientist will love it and my little worrier will freak out over bugs in his bed!!
We can still be friends. My husband can’t eat chocolate and I still married him. It means I don’t have to share my chocolate with him, but still…

Oh how awful! I hate being reminded of the bugs in our environment! Lol

I have to make my bed. I just HAVE to or it drives me nuts!! However, I am not very strict with my kiddo about doing it and now I’m very glad, as she has allergies!! From now on, the rule will be she only has to do it if company is coming. She’ll be THRILLED!
By the way, this is gross (and completely TMI)but lately I have had the whole ‘night sweats’ thing so I probably have quite the bed bug colony with those warm, damp conditions! Luckily our mattress is only a year old so they probably aren’t TOO bad…but I may go buy a mattress cover now! Ewwwww.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news everyone or good news whichever the case may be.
Missy - I know my boys are happy to not do it too. I am the same way with mine. I love a made bed!! I have been really trying to wait at least until I am fully ready and maybe even after breakfast to make it. Hope you find something that works for you.

Oh my goodness. This is so upsetting. I can’t even think about it. My husband gets night sweats too. Oh my goodness. I just cannot have an unmade bed in the house. What am I going to do?

Ewwww!!!! We are bed makers too. Well, I should say that my husband is a bed maker so to be a good wife - since he can’t stand the bed not to be made
- I make the bed every day. My kids on the other hand, don’t. My daughter ONLY makes it if somebody is coming AND I’ve made her make it. (She wouldn’t if I didn’t make her even if somebody was coming over.
) My son pulls is comforter up so it looks pretty decent most of the time so I guess he could be a bed maker too.
I think I’ll go throw our sheets in the wash now!

Unfortunately it’s not so simple. Undone bed will help a liitle with dustmites population reduction but will not stop you breathing allergen already accumulated in room. If you are crazy with your beds done better hang your beddings outsdie on sunny day for a few hours weekly. Same time leave mattress bare. The result will be the same.
Protectors will reduce access for dustmites direct to you while you are in a bed but will not eliminate dustmites in a room. There’s enough food in carpets, drapes even soft toys.
Agressive cleaning with dustmites control programe will work much better.

As someone who rarely makes her bed and is allergic to dust mites, I am feeling very righteous right now. Nice.
And yeah, the pic is totally gross.

Prudie - I am glad I could help you with some proof
Vlad - It is my understanding that people with allergies have to stay clear from anything being outside as the pollen and dust stays with it and is then brought inside. I guess people with allergies would just have to check with their doctor to see but for those who want an excuse not to make their beds at least have some fun info.

Hahaha… Really it’s like that. But it’s human nature. Some peoples hate to make bed and any excuses are working on their benefit. Have nothing against this. I’m a farther of 17 years old example. My point was - do not rely on unmade bed only - it helps not too much.
Soryy don’t know rules but if it against please feel free to remove my link. If it accepted - have a look on my website

There’s a lot of info under FAQ and other parts as well.

Whats even more digusting is the fact your breathing in …ummm well dust mite poop which is responsible for dust mite allergies.
