My name is Debbie not Martha.  I am a mother of two.  One of my children is adopted so that subject is near to my heart.  I am a Christian.  I like to share tips and ideas that are realistic because I don’t have the time, energy, and money to do all the things you read or see, but I do like to be creative (just down a notch).  I love to shop, find a bargain, do crafts (but I don’t sew much or at all), help people, etc.  The blog will have many different subjects and I hope to hear your ideas as well.

I hope to publish a book someday.  Or operate a business.  Or host a Christian Talk Show.  Or have a Christian Teen Dance Club.  Or a Children’s Indoor Playarea.  Or…OK so I have a lot of ideas.  My poor Hubby!

If you would like to read more about me try the “Introduction” post.

Many Blessings,

Debbie aka real world martha (stew…)

One of my great memories as a kid was when the Dads and Moms of our group of Navy brats decided to get the base to donate the upstairs of an unused barracks for us to have a teen dance club. We all got together to scrub floors and bring in old furniture and paint (okay there was a small paint war) and then we had a place that we could call our own. It was so satisfying.

  17. Hi Debbie!
I just saw your message at the slide of the Falls I did. I am sooooo sorry about not having seen it earlier to be able to respond to you a lot quicker. Those are the Pearson Falls. They are in North Carolina.

Hi Debbie! Thank you for commenting on my blog. Just a little surprised how you stumbled upon my little small cozy place.

Yes, I do totally agree with you that the conception of ‘perfect’ PKs have subsided tremendously than in the past years. Although you gotta admit that a tinge of it still exist in the way people talk to you knowing your father’s occupation. Perhaps a large load of it is in my head. I don’t know.

Thank you for telling me it’s ok to be imperfect. I needed it. Really, I appreciate you thoughtful words in response to my ‘frustrated’ post. 🙂 God bless!

I would love to hear about homeschooling that I have on my blog. I find it such a fascinating experience yet I am a grandma with no home school experience. So this is new – I do have some friends who homeschool and it seems they all do it differently. I’m going to visit your blog more often. I would like to go back and read what you have available. It sounds like you enjoy life to its fullest. I too am a Christian.

  26. I can’t believe I forgot to read your “about me” page before. One of my sons is also adopted and like you, that subject is near and dear to my heart. I look forward to reading more of your blog. I imagine we have many things in common!

Hey, I found you! Email me and we can talk “bread”, but it will have to wait for next trip (Sept. 13) because I am all sold out for this trip. Nice to meet you – we are going to be moving to Phoenix around Christmas – so excited! Have been on mission field in Mexico for over 5 years – be nice to live in the states again:-) Both our kids are adopted, too. Do you happen to homeschool, too? Would be nice to meet!

Hi, Debbie. I was just over at Neil’s blog signing up for the Great Interview Experiment. Per his email, I’m trying to get in touch with you to find out where to send you a list of interview questions (once I determine what they will be, of course). Now I’d better get reading so I can figure out what to ask!
