I received this from my friend Anel.  You will LOVE this craft! (But if the pic doesn’t show up you won’t be able to do it…in fact PLEASE let me know if it doesn’t pull up or it won’t be useful).

My dear friends,

Somewhat embarrassing to admit, I’m not getting an annual bonus and
Christmas is tight this year. I will be making bedroom slippers for you
all as gifts. Please let me know your sizes. You’ll most likely agree
that it’s a splendid idea, and should you wish to do the same, I’ve
included the instructions below.

How to make bedroom slippers out of maxi pads:

You need four maxi pads to make a pair.
Two of them get laid out flat, for the foot part.
The other two wrap around the toe area to form the top.
Tape or glue each side of the top pieces to the bottom of the foot part.

Decorate the tops with whatever you desire, silk flowers (this is most
aesthetically appealing), etc.

These slippers are:
* Soft and Hygienic
* Non-slip grip strips on the soles
* Built in deodorant feature keeps feet smelling fresh
* No more bending over to mop up spills
* Disposable and biodegradable
* Environmentally safe
* Three convenient sizes: (1.) Regular, (2.) Light and (3.) Get out the Sand Bags.

I’ve attached a photo of the first pair I made so that you can see the
nifty slippers for yourself….

Awaiting you r response. It’s crucial that I get the right size for each
one of you.

Have a “Now That’s Funny” Day!

B

The “B” tip for the day will be for BEAUTY.

Take time for a Mom Spa Night.  Either do by yourself or with some friends.

Gather up –

  • A Robe (if you own one)
  • Slippers
  • Pitcher of Water with Lemon Slices (clean the skin of the lemon first) and maybe some Tea
  • Some Light Food such as Fruit, Veggies, Bread/Crackers, and Cheese
  • Soft Music
  • Candles or Soften the lights
  • A Journal (if alone) and make sure to write down 10 of your Blessings if with some friends have everyone go around the room to give their list of blessings
  • Powdered Milk or 5 tea bags for a nice bath (if it’s just you)
  • Something to soak your feet in
  • Make a homemade beauty product to try (I have a couple of recipes below that you can try)
  • Items for a manicure or pedicure
  • Maybe a Chick Flick
  • Lotion (get your favorite)

Fresh Face Cleanser

1 Tbsp Plain or Vanilla Yogurt

3/4 c Lemon Juice

Mix together and ally to face.  Rinse with warm water

Hand Softner

Wash hands in warm water.

1 Tbsp Honey

1 Tbsp Olive Oil

Massage into hands.  Cover hands with saran wrap, baggies, or cotton gloves for 30 min.

It may seem like this is bigger than just a tip but the point is to take time for yourself.  Our Mom job require us to be refreshed and feeling good about ourselves.  So plan your day now and put it on the calendar!  That’s an order 🙂

DON’T FORGET – If you ping or link back to my post on your blog (any tip A-Z) you will enter for a chance to win in my first contest.  If you don’t have a blog, leave a comment and let me know that you don’t have a blog and I will put you in the running.

Have a “Beautiful” Day

This is a potluck Thursday:

Great Hint:  Before all those gifts come into the house, take the time to go through your house of anything that has served it’s time 🙂  If you don’t have time before the holidays, have a one item in-one item out philosophy.  This works great for kids as well.  We say that for every item they bring in and item of equal size or value needs to be donated.

Try This: Switch out the word “lucky” and replace it with blessed.

Give God the glory instead of fate.

Help For Your Holidays: Don’t be a lone ranger!  Ask for help and take any that’s offered.  If someone offers to bring a dish to your gathering, accept it and don’t make another the way your family is use to it.  Try the new dish and be more relaxed.

Quote of the Day: If at first you don’t succeed, you’ll get a lot of advise.

Verse of the Day:  “We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in Him.  God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.”  1 John 4:16

Do you believe and know how much God loves you?

Gift Idea: Take a brand new spoon and dip into melted white, milk or dark chocolate.  Dip into crushed peppermint candy.  Wrap them in cellophane and tie with a nice ribbon.  Make a tag ” Hope you have a warm holiday.”  or “Here’s something to really stir things up.”  The recipient can use in their coffee for a nice holiday treat.  You can do some with out the candy and drizzle the other chocolate over the top -like white chocolate drizzled over the dark/milk chocolate.

Warm Fuzzy: Find a good pair of slippers and enjoy every minute of their life!

Have a BLESSED day 🙂
